Body measurement points

The following are definitions of body measurement points which are referenced when users get scanned.

Under Bust

Horizontal girth of the body at the under bust level.

Trouser Waistline Measurement - Female

The trouser waistline girth refers to the measurement taken by identifying natural grooves or contours on the human body to determine the inclined girth around the waist area, specifically for fitting trousers on female shapes.

Trouser Waistline Measurement - Male

The trouser waistline girth refers to the measurement taken by identifying natural grooves or contours on the human body to determine the inclined girth around the waist area, specifically for fitting trousers on male shapes.

Tibia Length

The distance from the outer knee point to outer ankle point.

Thigh

The circumference in the upper region of the leg, between the hip and the knee.

Height

The measure of the vertical distance from the topmost point of the head along the centerline to the ground.

Pant Inseam

The length measurement from the crotch point to the ground along the inside of the leg.

Outleg - Female

Outleg measurement taken from the female trouser waistline to the ground, typically for female fits.

Outleg - Male

Outleg measurement taken from the male trouser waistline to the ground, typically for male fits.

Neck

The circumference or the distance around the neck. For males this is below the buldge at the cartilage (Adam\'s apple).

Navel Girth

The circumference or distance around the waist or abdomen at the level of the navel, also known as the belly button.

Front Neck to Waist

Distance, measured vertically from front neck point to waist level.

Narrow Waist

The circumference around the narrowest point at the torso, between the chest and the hips.

Hip

The circumference around the widest part of the hips.

Head

The circumference at the head, above the brow ridge.

Forearm

The circumference or the distance around the lower part of the arm between the elbow and the wrist.

Calf

The circumference or distance around the thick part of the lower leg located between the knee and the ankle.

Bust

The circumference or distance around the fullest part of the chest.

Biceps

The circumference or the distance around the upper arm, generally at the thickest part of the biceps muscle.

Back Neck To Waist

Length of the distance between the middle of the base of the neck to the level of the waistline.

Back Shoulder Width

Distance between the right and left shoulder points.

Belly Outleg

Outleg measurement taken from navel girth to ground.

Longest Neck to Wrist

Distance between the back neck point to the wrist. The longest value between right and left lengths is used.

Narrow Waist To Ground

Straight distance between the plane where the narrow waist is taken to the ground.

Hand Length

From the edge of the palm to tip of the centre finger.

Hand Width

A direct line, not following the contour of the hand, between the outer edge of the hand below the pinky, across to the inner edge below the index.

Shoulder

Circumference around the shoulders which goes around the left and right shoulder points.

Back Neck to Hip

Length along surface on the back side of the avatar from the back neck point to the point on the plane at the Hip level.

High Trouser Waistline to Ground

Distance from the high trouser waistline directly down to the ground.

Trouser Waistline to Ground

Distance from the trouser waistline directly down to the ground.

Longest Foot Length

Length of which ever is the longest foot.

Widest Foot Width

Width of which ever is the widest foot.

Left Foot Length

Length measurement is to be taken at maximum horizontal distance from the centre of the back of the heel (maximum point of heel curve) to the end of the most prominent toe.

Right Foot Length

Length measurement is to be taken at maximum horizontal distance from the centre of the back of the heel (maximum point of heel curve) to the end of the most prominent toe.

Left Foot Tread Width

Distance between the outside swell of the head of the first metatarsal and outside swell of the head of the fifth metatarsal.

Right Foot Tread Width

Distance between the outside swell of the head of the first metatarsal and outside swell of the head of the fifth metatarsal.

Hand Finger Length

Length of middle finger, from tip to metacarpal.

Back Neck to Ground

The distance between the back neck point to the ground.

Top Hip

The circumference of the body midway between the waist and hip levels.

Maximum Hip

The widest circumference around the body between the hip and crotch.

Minimum Leg Girth

The smallest circumference of the lower leg just above the ankle.

Neck Base

The circumference around the base of the neck, just above the back neck point and front neck point.

Orbitale

The distance between the lowest point of the lower edge of the eye socket to the ground.

Outer Arm Length

The distance between the shoulder point to the wrist point.

Shoulder Length

The distance between the side neck point to the shoulder point.

Shoulder to Bust

The distance between the side neck point to the bust point.

Shoulder to Waist

The distance between the shoulder point to narrow waist.

Waist to Top Hip

The distance between the level of the waist to the level of the top hip.

Waist to Knee

The distance between the level of the narrow waist to the level of the knee point.

Waist to Maximum Hip

The distance between the level of the narrow waist to the level of the maximum hip.

Wrist

The circumference around the wrist point.

Foot Joint Girth

Circumference of the foot in a vertical plane around the heads of the first and fifth metatarsal bones.
