What is power cycling?

At times, we may advise you to power cycle your scanner in order to resolve technical issues. This is the act of completely shutting down the machine, then starting it up again via the hardware buttons. Note that it is different from restarting the scanner via the scanner interface settings.

How to power cycle

1) Turn off the scanner by hitting the turn off button on the UI

2) Wait till you see the screen is completely blank

3) Wait 5 seconds

4) Turn the power off by toggling the power switch to OFF:

5) Wait 10 seconds before switching it ON again:

6) Press the silver START button.

What to do if your screen is frozen

If you are stuck on a certain screen with no progress or ability to exit, try power cycling by pressing the silver button for half a second, then wait for the scanner to shut down.

Once completely shut down, press the silver button again to power it up.
